Hello everyone,
We only have a couple of days left for Valentine’s day! YAY!
Do you decorate your house or your space for Valentine’s day?
I do, but never too much, I write a Valentine card or a note for hubby and prepare his gift and that’s it. But this year, I found this heart shaped wreath, during one of our shopping trip’s at Michael’s, I had to have it and under $9.00 it was worth it. I can keep it on display for the entire month of February, it doesn’t ruin my decor and I don’t mind seeing this pink wreath every day when I pass by my dining room, it makes me happy.
The pink ribbon you see here, I got it from a liquidation basket they had in front of the cash at Michael’s, they had many mystery bags filled with goodies inside for only $2.00. Believe me, I didn’t think twice about getting one, I regret taking only one of them because when I got home and opened the bag, I was very surprised at what was inside; 3 decorative ribbons in different colors, different Christmas decorations, a food journal, 2 sets of Christmas tags and 3 Christmas pencils. It was worth it, I now have DIY ideas for next Christmas (never too early to start stocking up):
I wrapped the pretty pink ribbon around it and I think it looks good for Valentine’s day! doesn’t it?
This is another excuse to integrate pink into my decor:
It looks great against a white door, but only our doors from upstairs are white, so I had to find a new place where to hang it. I wanted to hang it from our entrance door but we can’t hang anything there; our door is in metal and I didn’t want to drill through it:
Found the perfect spot, on top of our dining room mirror, it looks great! The pictures didn’t come as good as I wanted them to, because I took them during a late afternoon and we were lacking natural day light:
I’m sure you noticed the pink garland. I added this garland as a last minute decoration, using pink twine and heart shaped post-it , I’ve had these post-it’s since 2009 and now I got a chance to use them. The garland was very easy to add, I used scotch tape on each end of the garland to tape it to the mirror and then sticked the post-it to the twine:
Adding this garland was very easy and fast to do:
Thanks again for stopping by!

Hey Ingrid, I have a trick for you to hang wreath on your metal front door! Just use a plastic hook on the inside (stick it backward) and hang with a cord on the outside
now at home mom says:
Merci Josée! t’as raison, pourquoi est-ce que je n’avais pas pensé à Ça avant! Je vais l’essayer cet après-midi ou demain car il neige beaucoup aujourd’hui
Merci encore pour ton conseil et je suis contente que tu aimes la couronne avec la guirlande! merci encore! c’est apprécié!
