Updates on my Living Room Fall – Halloween – Decor and more …

Updates living room fall halloween decor

Happy Friday everyone,

hope you are well, we’ve been a little bit busy here cleaning the dining room and kitchen, I am getting rid of things that I don’t need or want anymore.

Sorry, in advance but the changes that are coming might shock some of you. Ok, I’m just kidding but I know that many of you don’t want me to get rid of my pantry but the DIY’er in me is screaming for a change.

Have you heard about “THE KITCHN CURE FALL” from Apartment Therapy’s (thekitchn.com), it’s another challenge that I signed up for. Another challenge? Yep, another challenge that I’m participating in.

It’s a 10 day challenge and I haven’t been pulling my weight. I’m already 2 days behind with no good pictures to show.

Anyhow, before the week ends I wanted to share with you the updates that I’ve made to my living room. I added more orange accessories to the mix. I know that orange is not everyone’s favorite color but it’s making me happy so please just humour me ok? If you want to see a great color for Fall and you are tired of orange, visit Lauren’s living room; you will love what you see, I promise.

Remember my copper leaf lamp? you might have noticed from a previous post that I found her a new home; in our living room just behind our sectional. I added an orange lamp, two pumpkins and temporarily removed my fiddle leaf fig tree to create a new vignette. My tree also found a new home in our dining room and I brought my succulent plant for now:

I love this orange lamp (a gift from M, my younger brother), the lamp looks so pretty in our living room and it’s perfect for Fall/Halloween:

After I took all these pictures, I had an idea; to glue felt bat cutouts and frame them to make this space feel more like Halloween, see what I mean:

it’s beginning to look a lot like Halloween, every where you go …

Now, this last picture was taken with my old iPhone, that’s why it’s a bit dark even though I took it on a sunny day. I still add it to my post to show you how everything looks together (pre-orange bats picture):

I can’t wait for this weekend, hubby and I we will be busy moving things out of our dining room and I have to remember to take some pictures for you so I can give you an update next Wednesday. Thank you for sticking with me.

I can’t believe that this is what I’m excited about, I wonder what the 20 year old version of me would think of me now!

What are you doing this weekend?

Thanks again for stopping by!

Ingrid

Aw, you’re sweet as apple pie to include a shout-out to my Lime Green is the New Orange post…especially considering you’re an orange gal yourself. Ha ha. But seriously, you make orange work well…especially those glittery copper hues. Your lamps and decor items are looking mighty snazzy, my friend! And good luck with your new KITCHN challenge. Let us know if and when you need us to vote!

:-) thanks Lauren! I loved your lime green very much too and I believe it should be considered as a “FALL color” from now on! ;-) & thanks, I like the orange in this space, I think it’s because my sofa is too white, so I needed to warm things up a bit!
as for the KITCHN challenge, I tried to scrub the sink the day before and forgot to do it or should I say; didn’t do it because I was too lazy ha!ha! :-) it might take me more than 10 days to complete it! ;-)
      thanks again Lauren!
