Red is my hubby’s and I favorite color and our one year old boy seems to gravitate to all red things as well (i.e. ELMO). So, this month I might have gone a bit crazy with this color in our eat-in-kitchen by painting some accessories instead of buying.
It all started by the need to add a touch of color to our new eat-in-kitchen and not having much to spend on new accessories.
So, I gathered accessories that I already owned and spray-painted them in red, please let me share with you these pictures and hopefully they will inspire you to do the same around the house with just a coat of paint. (someone needs to stop me from spray-painting everything in my house) 🙂
Tomorrow, I will be posting again to show you the rest of my RED DIY projects, I was going to write one big post, but decided otherwise because, I realized no one wants to read a 3 feet long post.
These white vases turned red vases bring life and warmth to our eat-in-kitchen
This is a simple white plant pot, now it holds my wood spoons in my eat-in-kitchen:
Continuing my slight addiction to red, this is another simple DIY project for the Holidays:
we see many of these online and I decided to create my own with frames, red paint and wrapped red ribbon around it. Let me share with you how I did it and how simple it was to do:
– two simple frames
– hot glue gun
– pinecones (got mine from the “dollar store”)
– ribbon (color of your choice, mine is “red” for the Holidays)
– with the saw, cut the frames to the frame of your choice (mine is an “H”)
– with the hot glue gun, glue the frames together
– with the hot glue gun, glue the pinecones to the frames (one by one)
– wrap ribbon around the frames to get a touch of color
I will be posting new DIY’s with a touch of RED tomorrow (please stay tuned)
P.S.: There is another color that really got my attention, it’s called “Mint Majesty“, so I bought a sample of it, I won’t tell you yet what I painted with this color, so please come by again, so you can see what I did! 🙂
Thank you for stopping by!
