New 2014 IKEA catalog is finally here

Good evening everyone!

Hope you are all having a wonderful Monday!

We have been busy playing outside, taking Nate to the park and making sure he enjoys the lovely weather we are having around here.

Do you remember that last year back in August, I posted about the 2013 IKEA catalog and about the items that caught my eye? Well, now the 2014 IKEA catalog has finally arrived here in Canada. For us it’s only available online right now. I wanted to share with you the items I am loving this year.

IKEA 2014 catalog picture

Remember, that my living room is getting a tiny makeover. I will give you an update about this soon this week.

I love the idea of integrating these pieces into my tiny living room, they would look great with my white sofa:

IKEA Stockholm collection for my living room

  1. Β Stockholm, cushion in black and white
  2. Stockholm, Nightstand in yellow
  3. Stockholm, TV bench in beige
  4. Stockholm, Swivel easy chair, Sandbacka yellow
  5. Stockholm, glass-door cabinet in yellow
  6. Stockholm, rug, flatwoven, black stripped black, off-white

Okay, so I won’t be updating my living room with any of these new pieces from IKEA anytime soon but a girl can dream right?

And now here are some other items that I’m in love with as well:

IKEA Stockhom rug flatwoven yellow

Β This sideboard, would look great in our dining area, I could finally replace my old dresser with this:

 IKEA Sideboard beige Stockholm

STOCKHOLM High-back armchair IKEA

& who wouldn’t love to have this beauty in their living room, it’s available in 5 other colors but the green is the one that caught my eye. Gorgeous isn’t it?

Are you as enthusiastic as I am about the arrival of the new 2014 IKEA catalog?

Thanks again for stopping by!

I also LOVE that yellow chair (and the green sofa, too), but I don’t like the price tag! I was considering it for my son’s room makeover, but then I couldnt justify it! Loved the catalog though! I am going to hit up IKEA this weekend to snag some of their orange and white striped fabric, and perhaps the navy and white too, I love them!

    August 12, 2013 at 11:01 pm
    • now at home mom says:

πŸ™‚ I have to admit that the price tag on the chair and the sofa are a bit high to just go and buy them because we love the colors but I’m sure they would make a great impact in our houses! we can still dream about them! πŸ˜‰ Me too, every year I wait for their catalog but it takes a while for us to receive it here! oh! nice that you get to go this weekend and pick up some fabric, weeks ago I went to get fabric myself and they didn’t have the one I wanted πŸ™‚

HEYA!! Great post, I’ll check to see when this new collection is coming to Romania, I loved so many things you showed us!! I am curious about the prices, though, in my country we have them a bit lower, so I am dreaming of stealing that green sofa!! TO DIE FOR!! I am already drooling!! You know, I have the black and white striped Stockholm rug in my bedroom and I love it!! You can see it on my blog!! Also love the yellow cabinet with glass shelves…I d get it for my black and white kitchen!! So excited!!
    Thanks for sharing!!

& yes the yellow glass cabinet would look great in your kitchen; it would pop up! πŸ™‚ I wanted in a corner of my living room!

I think I have told you before but I have never been to an Ikea. I think the closest one to us is in Chicago which would be quite a drive for us! I clicked on the couch! I love it and it is definitely my style but the price is a little high for me considering I have 3 kids who could ruin it really fast. Someday I hope to have nice stuff!

oh! yes, I remember Melissa, driving there would be too long for you guys but yes, I do love that green sofa! I really want it! I have to admit that the price is high and Nate would probably paint it with a black marker πŸ˜‰ Me too, every time I look at my kitchen and living room I tell myself that maybe one day I will have nice furniture (maybe) when Nate will be 18 years old ha!ha! πŸ™‚ glad you understand this Melissa πŸ™‚

we just bought the stockholm coffee table 3 days ago…we liked it because it looks good and no sharp corners for the wobbly kid to whack his head on. highly recommended and easy to put together

    • now at home mom says:

πŸ™‚ oh! 3 days ago, how fun Gilles πŸ™‚ those wobbly days are so scary for a parent
we had to replace our big square table for Nate and bought the old version of this table! it’s better and looks great! πŸ™‚
that’s why I want the yellow round nightstand for our living room because Nate hits his head everywhere! πŸ™‚

Great choices, Ingrid! Obviously I like the rug πŸ˜‰ but that gray chair is gorgeous too. I hadn’t seen it yet in my catalog — but I’ve been perusing it slowly — you know, soaking up every page, haha. Love all the yellow you’ve chosen, too.

I love yellow, it makes me happy and I would love to use it as an accent color in our living room but I haven’t decided yet! πŸ™‚

I love browsing through the catalog just for the inspiration! I think I need to plan for a trip to the store in the near future. Unfortunately, it is way on the other side of the city and will take a good 45 minutes to get there so I don’t go too often. Can you believe it that summer is almost over! ~Thea

πŸ™‚ same here, I love browsing through their catalog for ideas and every year I can’t wait to receive it! πŸ™‚ we are lucky we are so close to ours & there is a second one 5 minutes away from hubby’s work! πŸ™‚ 45 minutes can be long, so those trips have to be planned!
Yes, I can’t believe that it’s almost over, yesterday and today it’s been cold in the morning and in the evenings πŸ™‚ Soon, we will be wearing boots (I can’t wait), I love summer but Fall is my favorite season! πŸ™‚
