Hello everyone,
I hope you are having a great day, hubby and I have been busy around here trying new things, one of them is an idea I’ve been wanting to try for a while and never did, until my friend Joan over at the thing about joan … posted about how to make your own vanilla extract back in January. I was excited to see someone writing about it and sharing her experience with us. Joan asked me to try this with her and from there see if we get the same results. So, last weekend I finally gave it a go, the bottle of vodka is a gift from my father-in-law and the vanilla beans are from a solo-trip my hubby took one day to get the groceries. Every time, he goes by himself to the supermarket I know he will come back with something different, new or weird.
Above you saw three pictures of the steps required to start making your own vanilla extract, I didn’t write them down for you because I would love for you to please go and visit Joan’s blog post to know all the ingredients and directions you need. She did a great job describing them.
Joan, I left my jar on top of our counters where I can’t see it, like you mentioned in your blog, we need patience and I don’t have that special ingredient, so it’s taking a lot from me not to spy on the beans. I checked the jar Monday morning when hubby was at work and it got a bit darker already. I can’t wait to see the outcome.
Hope everyone will have a great week
Thanks again for stopping by!
