These last past weeks, we have all seen these gorgeous snow globes from Anthropologie and we have also seen them appear in many DIY blogs, each and every single one of them with their own home made version using mason jars. So, last Thursday afternoon, after a quick trip to the dollar store (again, I should considering buying stock ), I came back with a couple of goodies under $10, ready to create my own version.
They were pretty easy to make, please let me share with you how:
- . mason jars (I’m sure you can find some around the house, please go and check your pantry!)
- . small trees (from the dollar store)
- . small snowman (from my old Christmas decorations)
- . small pinecone (from the dollar store)
- . hot glue gun
- . bag of fake snow (you can find it at the dollar store too)
. glue the ornament of choice (tree/snowman/pinecone) to the lid (an idea: you could also paint the lid in white or red)
. wait at least 30 seconds to 1 min to make sure the ornament is glued to the lid, then you can add your fake snow to the mason jars (put as much as you like, whatever makes it look pretty and makes you happy)
. close the mason jars
note: as you can see, I used mason jars and glass jars to create my own and different version of these glass snow globes. Also feel free, to create your own version with other Christmas ornaments you might find around the house.
Hope, you enjoyed this small, easy and cute DIY project for the Holidays!
Thanks again for stopping by!
