Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups Recipe by Lynda Reeves at House and Home

I am invited to a small dinner at my friend’s house this evening, so I would like to bring her a nice gift. She loves chocolate as much as I do, so what better gift then chocolate peanut butter cups! yummy!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

This recipe is from Lynda Reeves at House and Home, it is available in their website at:

(recipe available in their website too)

Last Christmas, my hubby and I, made these chocolate peanut butter cups for our family. We all loved them, they were delicious, perfect for the holidays and to give as gifts.

Let me share with you this yummy recipe shared by House and Home last year.

These are the ingredients, I used:

.8 oz. of hershey’s chocolate chips  (you can choose dark chocolate instead)

.1/2 cup of Kraft Philadelphia cream cheese

.1/2 cup of Kraft peanut butter

.1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

.1-1/4 tablespoon of honey (liquid)

.pinch of sea salt

ingredients

The instructions in the video of Lynda Reeves, were very easy to follow and can get messy  🙂

.I started by melting the chocolate chips in a bowl placed over a pot of boiling water (very low heat)

.Placed half of cup of cheese cream, half of cup of peanut butter, honey, vanilla and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl and blend them until smooth.

.I used pretty-pink muffin liners and coated them inside with the melted chocolate, you can use a pastry brush. After coating them with chocolate, I left them in the fridge for 15 minutes (as recommended in the video) so they can cool down.

.15 minutes later, fill the muffin liners with the peanut butter and cheese cream mix and leave them in your fridge for 15 minutes again.

.15 minutes later, add more of the melted chocolate in your cups and spread it to get a smooth top. Leave it in the fridge for 30 more minutes (as recommended) and you can start enjoying your chocolate peanut butter cups. It’s easy and delicious!

Now, I just need to find a box to give them to my friend as a gift!
