I made these chewy chocolate oatmeal cookies this afternoon from a recipe posted on the the porto bellas blog.
I was planning to do these 2 weeks ago for my hubby, but time flew so fast I never had the chance to bake them.
My son and hubby participated during the baking process and were the first to eat them. He looks very happy in these pictures but once we removed him from the kitchen, he started screaming and crying. Sorry, I didn’t take a picture of him crying because I was too busy trying to calm him down
In this picture, you can see how much our little man enjoyed it!
These are the little moments I enjoy the most and are so important to me
These cookies turned out delicious, I will bring these tomorrow at my parents house for New Year’s Eve. We added red sprinkles, they look festive
Hope you try them and enjoy them as much as we do!
They were so easy to prepare, only a couple of steps and ingredients were required. I took pictures of some of the steps I followed from their post for you in case you will like to try them, but please make sure to copy the recipe and directions from the the porto bellas blog
ingredients to prepare chewy chocolate oatmeal cookies
mix the wet ingredients
mix the dry ingredients
please follow the rest of the instructions on their blog!

That’s the first time I’ve seen your son…he is a doll!!! My littlest one wants to help in the kitchen with everything because he sees his older siblings cooking. I usually have to kick him out eventually so things don’t get too chaotic and boy does he get mad! During the week when the kids are at school he gets to “help” me a bit more! Have fun tomorrow, those cookies look great! Melissa

Thank you Melissa!
Mine too gets so mad he likes to help out but sometimes we need to kick me out of here, today he had a tantrum, he was screaming, he only calmed down when the cookies were ready
Thanks, I hope my nephew will like them tomorrow too!
Hope you guys will have a nice New Year’s eve evening too!
